The China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone is a major cooperation project for delivering on the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and the UAE and advancing the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative. It is China’s first Belt and Road industrial capacity cooperation park nationwide.

Located in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), the UAE, the demonstration zone has a planned total area of 12.2 square kilometres. The zone prioritises industries including new energy, high-end manufacturing, petroleum equipment, warehousing & logistics, and metal processing. It aims to set a benchmark for China-UAE industrial capacity cooperation and build a pioneering model for win-win Belt and Road cooperation between China and the Gulf region.
