China's Ambassador to Tonga attended the handover ceremony of the Group's implementation projects

   On October 17, the handover ceremony of the reconstruction project of the outer area of Tonga Wangling implemented by CJI Overseas Engineering Company was successfully held. Chinese Ambassador to Tonga Liu Weimin and Tonga King Tupou VI and his wife, Tang Foreign Minister and Minister of Defense Crown Prince Tuptoa and his wife, Princess Pilloleu and his wife and other major royal family members, acting Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Fushimalosi, Speaker Fakafanua and other government officials, and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises in Tonga More than 150 people attended.

   Fushimalosi said that the project not only demonstrates respect for the traditions of the Tang royal family, but also provides citizens with high-quality public space. It will become a new cultural landmark in the capital and is another example of the deep partnership between Tang and China.

   Liu Weimin said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tang, the cooperation has been fruitful and the friendship has been strong for a long time. The project is China's contribution to upholding the trust of the Tang royal family and safeguarding the cultural heritage of Tang. It is also a congratulatory gift to the 150 anniversary of the promulgation of the Tongan Constitution and the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tonga and Tang. We are willing to join hands with Tang to push bilateral relations to a new high. Afterwards, King Tupu VI cut the ribbon for the project and took a group photo with the Chinese representative.

   The project started on February 28, 2024 and passed the completion acceptance on August 27, 2025. The quality of the project was assessed“Excellent”. The King of Tonga Secretary and Director of the Royal Palace Office Feifeita and Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Fuchmalosi wrote to the company respectively, expressing their high appreciation for the professional ability and hard work of the project department team, and fully affirming and highly appraising the quality of the project.
