Mauritian company The Strand Commercial Building Project Won World Bank EDGE Green Building Certificate
Recently, The Strand Commercial and Office Building Project, built by CJI Mauritius Company, successfully obtained the World Bank Group's Green Building EDGE Certificate.
The Strand Commercial and Office Building Project is a housing construction project undertaken by Mauritius Company in August 2021. It is located in the Beau Plan area in the northern part of the island with a construction area of about 14200 square meters. In the implementation of the project, Mauritius Company takes the construction practice of green buildings as the subject, carries out technical research and construction process innovation, strictly follows the relevant requirements of EDGE for all-round matching of energy consumption, process and finished products, specifically implements the relevant requirements of each step, implements and adopts new processes, new methods and new means that meet the requirements of EDGE in terms of environmental friendliness, energy saving, water saving, use of environmentally friendly materials and waste treatment. The project was completed in October 2023, after a normative evaluation, and finally passed the EDGE demonstration, becoming the first project in Mauritius to obtain an EDGE certificate.
