The review meeting of the provincial landmark "Technical Standards for Maintenance and Transformation of Existing Building Curtain Walls"(draft for review) edited by the curtain wall company was successfully held

   On the morning of December 20, 2023, the Jiangsu Provincial Local Standard "Technical Standards for Maintenance and Reconstruction of Existing Building Curtain Walls" (draft for review) edited by Curtain Wall Company was successfully held in the conference room on the eighth floor of Jiangsu Construction Building. The meeting was presided over by Weber Jun, a second-level researcher from the Green Building and Science and Technology Department of the Provincial Housing and Construction Department, and attended by relevant leaders, chief editors, representatives of participating units and main drafters of standards from relevant offices of the Provincial Housing and Construction Department and the Provincial Engineering Construction Standard Station.

   Feng Yun, technical director of curtain wall company, introduced the preparation of the standard. Many experts from Jiangsu Architectural Design and Research Institute, Southeast University, Nanjing Construction Engineering Group, Jiangsu Quality and Safety Supervision Station, Jiangsu Construction Metal Structure Society and other units questioned and reviewed the standard (draft for review) chapter by chapter. The review team believed that the standard was clearly compiled, with clear requirements, rationality, scientificity and advancement, and unanimously agreed to pass the review, it also requires the preparation team to revise and improve the specific opinions and suggestions put forward at this meeting and submit them for approval as soon as possible.

   The standard by the curtain wall company and Jiangsu Province decoration and decoration development center as the editor of the unit, Jiangsu Jingtian Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. and other units to participate in the preparation. The standard innovatively puts forward the implementation path and method of the inspection, maintenance and transformation of the existing building curtain wall, and further clarifies the adoption of the glass curtain wall panel glass on the street side. After the promulgation and implementation of the standard, it has positive guidance and practical significance for improving the maintenance and transformation of existing building curtain walls in our province and ensuring urban public safety.
