Mauritius company's ICON office building project receives LEED green building certification from the United States
Recently, the Mauritius company ICON office building project to obtain the United States LEED green building certification, and was awarded the silver certification.
The United States LEED green building certification, the full name is“Energy and Environmental Design Pioneer Building Rating System”（Leadership in Energy &Environmental Design), established and implemented by the U.S. Green Building Council (U.S. Green Building Council), is a certification system for evaluating the design, construction and operation of green buildings through scoring and evaluation. It is considered to be the most perfect and influential evaluation standard among all kinds of building environmental protection evaluation, green building evaluation and building sustainability evaluation standards in various countries around the world.
The construction area of ICON office building project is about 40000 square meters. During the implementation of the project, Mauritius Company initiated the group scientific research project under the theme of green building construction practice, carried out relevant theoretical research and combined with actual construction practice, carried out all-round matching of materials, processes and finished products in strict accordance with the relevant requirements of LEED, and specifically implemented the relevant requirements of each step, in terms of environmental friendliness, energy saving, use of environmentally friendly materials, water treatment, waste treatment, etc., the implementation and adoption of new processes, new methods and new means that meet the actual conditions of Mauritius and meet the requirements of LEED, and finally passed the LEED demonstration, becoming one of the first projects in Mauritius to obtain the LEED certificate.
