The groundbreaking ceremony was held for the second phase of the Michelin Shanghai factory reconstruction and expansion project undertaken by the Construction Group

   On the morning of November 20th, the second phase of the Michelin Shanghai plant reconstruction and expansion project undertaken by Jiangsu Construction Group Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony. Qiu Wenjin, deputy director of the Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, and Wang Guanbao, party secretary and director of the Standing Committee of the Minhang District People's Congress, Minhang District Deputy District Mayor Ke Xiaolin, Michelin Group CEO Meng Liguo, Michelin China President Ye Fei and others attended the event. Zhang Yongqing, chairman of Jiangsu Construction Group Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the event and delivered a speech.

   In his speech, Zhang Yongqing first thanked leaders and owners at all levels for their trust and affirmation of Jiangsu construction, and said that the Michelin Shanghai plant reconstruction and expansion project is the first general contracting project of Michelin company and Jiangsu construction cooperation. The project is of great significance and high starting point, and will be built“Super Flexible Green, Smart, Sustainable Factory of the Future”Jiangsu Construction has the confidence, determination, and ability to complete the project construction tasks efficiently, safely, and with high quality, and turn the project into a high-quality project and a model project for cooperation between the two parties, and make positive contributions to Michelin's expansion of the market and deepening of operations in China.

   The total construction area of the project is 75000 square meters. After completion, it will provide the market with more high-tech, energy-saving and environmentally friendly high-performance radial tires. The project is scheduled to be completed in January 2025.
