On the morning of December 28, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the first bid section of the first phase of the new campus of Jiangsu Open University. The total investment of the first phase of the new campus project of Jiangsu Open University is 606 million yuan, with a total construction area of 82,111.86 square meters. The project obtained the project approval proposal on January 30, 2019, the initial design budget estimate approval on April 23, 2021, and the general construction contract bidding was completed on October 9, 2021.
Vice President Niu Yutao said that the new campus project can be implemented“The 14th Five-Year Plan”The construction started as scheduled in the first year, thanks to the care and support of the provincial party committee and provincial government, the provincial housing and construction department, and the Pukou District government and other competent departments at all levels, as well as the coordination and cooperation of the provincial public construction center. Deputy General Manager Gao Fei pointed out that the new campus project of Jiangsu Open University has been rated as a provincial key project for three consecutive years, and the provincial party committee, provincial government and competent departments at all levels have high hopes for this project. The construction of the new campus is a systematic project with a high starting point and high standard design concepts. During the implementation process, each participating unit must unswervingly focus on the construction task goals, improve the project safety and quality responsibility system, and strengthen process tracking management. At the same time, we must strictly adhere to the red line and bottom line, adhere to quality first and safety first, and comprehensively strengthen project production management. On the premise of ensuring the progress of the project, complete the construction tasks with high quality and high standards, and hand over satisfactory answers to leaders and users at all levels.
Deputy Director Jiang Wei said that the new campus project of Jiangsu Open University is the project with the largest volume, the highest investment and the longest span since the provincial government invested in non-profit projects in our province and has attracted great attention from all walks of life. Deputy Director Jiang Wei put forward three requirements for project construction: First, go all out to grasp the construction period. All participating units must unify their thinking, clarify goals, strengthen result orientation, consolidate and tighten the responsibility chain, and ensure that the project is completed on schedule; The second is to concentrate on quality. As a centralized construction implementation unit, the Provincial Public Construction Center must fulfill the primary responsibility of the construction unit's project quality. Each participating unit must firmly establish the concept of a century-old plan and quality first, and take the improvement of project quality as the main line. Strengthen management on the basis of ensuring the project progress and build this project into a high-quality project that satisfies all sectors of society and school teachers and students; The third is to strictly guard against death and ensure safety.
