Zimbabwe Harare International Airport Project cooperates with China medical team to actively promote the resumption of work and production

At 8 a.m. on May 19, six expert members of the China medical team to Tianjin, led by Vice Captain Jiang Yuandong of the medical team, came to the Harare International Airport project camp in Zimbabwe undertaken by our company. They cooperated with institutions designated by the Zimbabwe government with new coronavirus testing qualifications to collect blood samples for new coronavirus pneumonia testing for all China employees of the project. The experts 'positive attitude and superb skills in serving Chinese-funded enterprises on the front line of overseas anti-epidemic have been praised by all employees. The collected blood samples were promptly handed over to the doctor of the testing institution responsible on site and brought back to the hospital for testing. This is another manifestation of China-Tianjin friendly cooperation in fighting the epidemic.

Affected by the development of the international epidemic, the Zimbabwean government has imposed a nationwide ban since March 30, and the projects undertaken by our company in Zimbabwe, including Harare International Airport, have been completely suspended. On May 16, the government announced an indefinite extension of the second-level ban, indicating that the government will use the blockade to buy more time for epidemic prevention and control, and at the same time gradually promote the resumption of work and production while taking reasonable control measures.

During the comprehensive ban, the Zimbabwean company discussed and formulated a plan to resume work and production. With the current ban being alleviated, it actively complied with the requirements of the government's second-level ban that "enterprises planning to resume business must take measures in terms of health and epidemic prevention, social distance, and body temperature testing and monitoring", and with the comprehensive support of the competent authorities-the local Civil Aviation Administration and the Ministry of Transportation, try their best to take active epidemic prevention and control measures. Strive to promote the resumption of work at Mugabe International Airport while ensuring the safety of everyone's life.

While testing China employees, the project department also asked testing institutions to conduct batch testing on local employees who returned to work. After testing local employees from different places, they were subjected to medical observation in closed isolation for 14 days, and arranged to return to work while ensuring the health of all employees. Closed management is implemented during isolation observation and construction periods, and a special epidemic prevention and control team supervises and manages them to ensure that everyone wears masks well, washes hands frequently, maintains an appropriate distance, regularly disinfect and tests body temperature. At the same time, local employees are given certain living subsidies, actively fulfill corporate social responsibilities, and maintain a good image of Chinese-funded enterprises.

As of press time, all Chinese and foreign employees have undergone antibody testing and nucleic acid testing, and all are certified negative. This is the result of all employees of the Zimbabwe company through long-term scientific prevention and control. I believe that through the joint efforts of all employees, we will be able to defeat this epidemic in overseas projects and achieve steady and healthy development of overseas business.
