CJI Co., Ltd. participated in the 4th Lianyungang Forum and was awarded the "Safe Development and Shared Prosperity" Overseas Outstanding Project Award
From September 12 to 13, 2018, the 4th Lianyungang Forum, sponsored by the Ministry of Public Security, co-organized by the Jiangsu Province Public Security Department, the Lianyungang City People's Government, and hosted by the Lianyungang City Public Security Bureau, was successfully held. A total of law enforcement agencies and heads of international organizations from more than 30 countries participated. Focusing on the theme of "Working Together to Open a New Chapter in Cooperation in Law Enforcement Capacity Building", this forum will discuss plans for law enforcement security cooperation, seek good strategies for cooperation in capacity building, and jointly draw a blueprint for the security development of all countries. Liu Yuejin, member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security and Counter-Terrorism Commissioner, Shen Ying, deputy director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Liu Yang, deputy governor of Jiangsu Province and director of Public Security, and Fang Wei, deputy secretary of the Lianyungang Municipal Party Committee and acting mayor, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
In order to accelerate the practical security cooperation between my country and countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative, the Ministry of Public Security and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council simultaneously held a sub-forum on "Safe Development and Shared Prosperity" during this forum. CJI Company was invited to participate, and Deputy General Manager Huang Rugeng attended the sub-forum on behalf of the group company and took the stage to accept the award. After strict review by the forum expert group, 10 overseas key projects implemented by 7 central enterprises including China Petroleum and 3 local enterprises including CJI were awarded the "Safe Development and Shared Prosperity" overseas outstanding projects of the 4th Lianyungang Forum. After recommendation by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangsu Province, the expert group unanimously concluded that the China-Arab (UAE) Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park project led by CJI is a major international capacity cooperation project that implements the important consensus of the leaders of China and Afghanistan and serves the "Belt and Road" initiative. The park has adopted effective measures such as strict project on-site safety control, establishing a safety linkage mechanism with the Free Trade Zone, and establishing an Incident Response Service plan. The construction of the demonstration park has progressed smoothly and has achieved good results in investment promotion and project construction, which has contributed to the construction of China and Afghanistan. The comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has played a positive role in promoting.
As a law enforcement and security cooperation platform initiated by China and with the participation of all parties, the Lianyungang Forum has always focused on security and development, continues to promote capacity building, focuses on strengthening intelligence sharing, actively coordinates joint operations, vigorously develops project security, consolidates and deepens academic exchanges, and plays an important role in maintaining regional security and stability and serving the economic development of all countries.
