Leaders of HaIC accompanied executives from Abu Dhabi Khalifa Industrial Zone to visit the National Development and Reform Commission

　　On March 27, Edwin Lammers, Executive Vice President of Khalifa Industrial Park in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates, and his party, accompanied by Hao Sihuan, Deputy General Manager of Jiangsu Province Overseas Cooperative Investment Co., Ltd., and Qi Jian, Minister of Comprehensive Management Department, visited the National Development and Reform Commission and met with Director Zhu Wei of the Overseas Investment Division 3 of the Foreign Investment Department. The two sides exchanged views on the joint construction of a China-Arab Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park.

　　Director Zhu Wei said that the launch of the construction of the China-Arab Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park is a landmark project to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and jointly build the "Belt and Road". It is also a platform and important carrier for both sides to strengthen production capacity cooperation. On the basis of drawing on the experience of domestic development zones in attracting foreign investment, China uses top-level design and cluster management to connect with Khalifa Industrial Park in a park model, which is conducive to improving efficiency and effectively reducing information collection costs for Chinese enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. It also helps Afghanistan to have a deeper understanding of the credit status of relevant Chinese companies. The cooperation between the two parties in the park will be a huge support for Abu Dhabi's pursuit of economic diversification. The China government encourages Chinese companies to invest in the Khalifa Industrial Park, and also hopes that China companies that meet the planning positioning can give priority to entering the China-Arab Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park.

　　Edwin Lammers focused on introducing the current construction situation and business characteristics of Khalifa Industrial Park and said that based on the development consensus of the "Belt and Road", both sides have great potential in further expanding business cooperation areas. With the implementation of the China-Arab Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park and other projects, Khalifa Industrial Park has become increasingly connected with China. Afghanistan will fully support the development of the demonstration park and protect the healthy growth of enterprises entering the park.

　　At the meeting, the two sides also had in-depth exchanges on issues such as investment promotion, expansion of cooperation areas, and establishment of work coordination mechanisms.
