　　On November 4, Deputy Director Ning Jizhe of the National Development and Reform Commission led a delegation to conduct on-site research on the construction of the China-Arab (UAE) Production Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Park. Ni Jian, China's Ambassador to Afghanistan, and comrades from the Foreign Investment Department and the International Department of the National Development and Reform Commission accompanied the investigation.

　　At the construction site of the demonstration park, Wang Bin, general manager of CJI, and Luo Hua, general manager of Jiangsu Haitou Company, respectively reported to the research team and their party the promotion of the demonstration park project construction and the results of the overall planning of the park. After listening to the report, Director Ning said: The Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government attach great importance to the construction of the demonstration park. The Provincial Development and Reform Commission and CJI have a strong awareness of the overall situation and are making rapid progress in their work. Regarding the problems existing in the construction of the demonstration park, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Embassy in Afghanistan will help actively coordinate. Director Ning pointed out that Jiangsu Haitou Company must carefully analyze market resource endowments, comprehensively optimize the industrial layout, actively carry out precise investment promotion, and strive to achieve early results. Relevant companies should seize the strategic opportunities of investing in the United Arab Emirates, actively plan overseas deployments, and accelerate international production capacity cooperation and industrial transformation and upgrading.

　　It is also understood that the second phase of the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Port project, a sister project of the demonstration park, will officially start construction this week. The port is invested and constructed by COSCO Shipping and is only 5 kilometers away from the demonstration park. When completed in 2018, the port will become one of the most important shipping hubs in the Middle East and will provide the demonstration park with the most convenient and efficient shipping logistics services.
