Jiangsu Environmental Protection Industry Co., Ltd. signs BOT agreement for Nanjing Dachang Sewage Treatment Plant

　　Recently, Jiangsu Environmental Protection Industry Co., Ltd. and the Municipal Construction Bureau of Nanjing Yanjiang Industrial Development Zone Management Committee signed a BOT agreement and a sewage treatment service agreement for Dachang Sewage Treatment Plant.

　　Dachang Sewage Treatment Plant is located in Nanjing Yanjiang Industrial Development Zone, with a designed treatment capacity of 100,000 tons per day and a first-phase construction scale of 50,000 tons per day. The effluent water quality complies with the Level 1 A standard specified in the "Pollutant Discharge Standards for Urban Sewage Treatment Plants". The service scope of the project includes Dachang Urban area and Zhongshan Science and Technology Park, with a service area of 38.3 square kilometers. The construction and operation tasks of the project are undertaken by Suhuan (Nanjing) Water Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Environmental Protection Industry Co., Ltd., and the project will be completed and provided with water within the year.

　　In order to successfully hold the 2014 World Youth Olympic Games, Nanjing City has accelerated the construction of environmental protection infrastructure. The Dachang Sewage Treatment Plant is a key project in Liuhe District to carry out environmental improvement, energy conservation and emission reduction, and do practical things for the people. The completion and operation of the project will greatly improve the sewage treatment capacity of the Dachang Urban area, and will play a significant role in comprehensive improvement of the water environment in the Jiangbei area of Nanjing and improvement of ecological and economic sustainable development in the river basin area.
