Overseas engineering company won the bid to support Zimbabwe Stadium project

Bidding for foreign aid projects has always been very fierce. In recent years, the bidding rules for economic aid projects have been changed again and again, and each bidding unit is facing more severe tests. Faced with the new situation, our overseas engineering company has carefully summarized and adjusted in a timely manner, and made simultaneous economic aid projects and contracted projects a top priority. With the joint efforts of all bidders, after dozens of days of hard work, we won the bid for my country's assistance to Zimbabwe's National Stadium maintenance project in one fell swoop, which has made a wonderful contribution to our company's business development this year. The total bid amount for the project is 44 million yuan, the start date is June 30, 2006, and the construction period is 17.5 months. The Zimbabwe National Stadium was built in 1987 and covers an area of about 17 hectares. It is an ellipse with a center of four points. It has a construction area of 51510 square meters. It has a total of 32 grandstand areas. One of the VIP grandstand areas is equipped with fixed seats. The stadium stands can accommodate about 60,000 spectators. There are a natural turf football field in the center of the stadium and eight plastic ring tracks around it. There is a circular overhanging awning on the upper part of the stands. The maximum overhanging length of the overhanging canopy is 12 meters, and the edge of the overhanging canopy is 31 meters high from the ground of the stadium. The building is located close to the mountains and makes full use of the natural conditions of the hilly terrain. It has a novel, unique, solemn and generous shape, and has a distinctive personality. It is the result of the perfect combination of architectural art and natural environment. The stadium hosts Zimbabwe's national-level large-scale competitions and serves as the main venue for major festivals, celebrations and large-scale cultural and artistic events. However, after nearly 20 years of ups and downs, the building has been seriously aged and obsolete, and is in urgent need of maintenance. According to the exchange of letters between my government and the Government of the Republic of Zimbabwe, my government has agreed to undertake the maintenance project of the stadium. Currently, various preparations for the implementation of the project are proceeding in an orderly manner. The overseas engineering company stated that it will strengthen the implementation and management of the project, ensure the quality and progress of the project, strive to improve efficiency, win glory for the country, and add bricks and mortar to the "Zhongjiang" brand.
