Tu Yaxing Inspects Fire Safety in Group's High-Rise Properties
On September 17, Tu Yaxing, Deputy General Manager and Safety Director of China Jiangsu International Group, conducted “unannounced inspections without advance notice, briefings, accompanying receptions or preset arrangements, going directly to the grassroots and worksites” to assess fire safety in the Group's commercial high-rise properties, including Jianda Building, Sujian Building and Jiangsu Construction Building.
The inspections covered the operation of fire protection systems, staffing of fire control rooms, completeness of duty and equipment operation records, clear emergency exits, compliance of centralized electric bicycle parking and charging areas and their charging and firefighting equipment, required cleaning of exhaust ducts in commercial catering premises, and regular firefighting and emergency evacuation drills.
Tu Yaxing called for clear fire safety accountability, stronger daily inspections and hazard rectification, close tracking of major hazards until their closure and treatment of major risks with the seriousness of an accident, as well as stronger publicity, education and training to improve emergency response capabilities.
Representatives of the Group's Quality and Safety Department accompanied the inspections.
